Today’s focus: A first, gentle approach to your inner child — through memory and image.
🎥 Your video for Day 8 will appear here soon.
Today’s Teaching
Self-rejection almost never begins in adulthood. It begins in childhood, in a moment when you needed to survive, to belong, to feel safe. The child who once learned “the way I am is not right” is still inside you. She is still waiting for a different answer. She is still hoping that one day, someone will look at her with love and say: “You are okay. Just as you are.”
Today you begin a gentle approach to this child. Not with theories or analysis, but with memory and image. You are not here to fix her or to resolve her trauma in one day. You are here to begin the relationship. To notice her. To let her know she is not forgotten.
Healing the inner child does not happen through force or intensity. It happens through tenderness, consistency, and the simple repeated message: “I see you. You matter. You were right to protect yourself back then. And I am here now.” This is the beginning.
Your Ritual Today
A gentle introduction to your inner child:
- Find a photograph of yourself as a child. If you don’t have one, you can draw a simple picture of the child you remember being.
- Place this photo or drawing on your altar.
- In the evening, sit in front of it. Look at the child for 5 minutes. Breathe.
- When you are ready, speak one sentence the child needed to hear back then: “You are not wrong. You did your best. I love you.”
- Let yourself feel whatever comes — warmth, tears, sadness, nothing. All of it is right.
Your Workbook
Today’s workbook opens with a letter format: “Dear little me…” You begin this letter today and will continue it through the week. Also included: a memory map where you note 3 moments when the child felt small or wrong, and 3 moments when she shone. This is how you begin to hold the fullness of her experience.
