Day 10: Meeting Your Inner Child

Today’s focus: The second guided journey — with your spirit animal as protector, you travel to your inner child.

Today’s Teaching

In the journey you will meet your inner child not as a memory, but as a living part of you. You are not trying to go back in time. You are bringing your adult presence, your spirit animal’s power, and your current love to meet this part of yourself that is still waiting. Many participants describe this day as the turning point of the entire course.

In the journey, you will travel with your spirit animal as your protector. You will move toward the place where the child lives. You will make contact — however that happens for you. You will listen to what the child needs to tell you. You will ask: “What do you need from me?” And you will listen for the answer. Then, you will make a promise to the child. A real promise, something you can keep.

This is not imagination or fantasy. This is a deep encounter with a real part of yourself. What emerges from this journey becomes the bridge between the child’s unmet needs and your adult capacity to meet them. Trust what comes. Your nervous system knows what you need to receive.

Your Ritual Today

Prepare and journey with the drum into meeting your inner child:

  1. Find your sacred space. Light your altar candle. Take three grounding breaths.
  2. Lie down or sit comfortably and close your eyes.
  3. Set your intention: “I travel to meet my inner child with love and my spirit animal as my ally.”
  4. Listen to the guided drum journey audio. Travel. Receive.
  5. When the drum brings you back, return slowly. Open your eyes. Sit for a moment.
  6. Light a candle for the child. Sit quietly with what you received.

Your Workbook

Today’s workbook pages are for integrating the journey. There is a journey log template, and space to write down the promise you made to your child — this becomes your daily reference point for the weeks ahead. Continue your “Dear little me” letter. Write everything down while the experience is vivid.
