1. Data protection at a glance
Protecting your personal data is a matter we take seriously. This privacy policy informs you how we process personal data when you use our app. As this app is designed for maximum data economy, we collect only what is technically essential.

3. Provision of the app and retrieval of content
Description: When you use the app to retrieve content, articles or media, the app automatically communicates with our websites shamanism.one and carolinmallmann.de. For technical reasons your IP address is transmitted to the respective web servers, as the servers could otherwise not send the content to your device.
Purpose & legal basis: The IP address is processed for the purpose of providing the app content. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) in displaying the requested content on your device.
Storage period: The IP address is processed on the servers only for as long as is necessary to retrieve the data, and is then promptly deleted or anonymised (unless statutory logging obligations apply at server level).
4. Media and fonts (Google Cloud / Google Fonts)
Description: To display animal images and to play meditations and sounds, the app loads these media from Google Cloud Storage. Typography is loaded from Google Fonts. Both are services of Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC. When loading, your IP address is transmitted to Google for technical reasons, so the content can be delivered to your device.
Purpose & legal basis: This serves to provide the visual and audio content of the app. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) in a reliable, appealing presentation. Data may be processed on servers outside the EU (e.g. in the USA); Google provides appropriate safeguards (EU standard contractual clauses).
5. Data you create in the app
Your journal entries, your birth data, the cards you draw and your settings are stored solely on your device. They are not transmitted to us, and we have no access to them. There is no user account and no sign-up. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it.
6. No disclosure to third parties / no tracking
Beyond the technically necessary content delivery described above, we use no analytics services (such as Google Analytics or Firebase), no advertising networks and no other third-party tracking SDKs. No user tracking and no behavioural analysis take place.
7. Your rights
You have the right to obtain free information about the origin and recipients of your stored personal data at any time. You also have the right to rectification, blocking or deletion of this data. Simply contact the email address given above. You additionally have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority.
8. Purchases and subscriptions (RevenueCat)
If you buy a subscription or a one-time purchase, the payment is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. To manage your entitlement — that is, to know whether an active purchase exists — we use RevenueCat, Inc. (USA) as a processor. RevenueCat receives a purchase and subscription record together with an anonymous identifier generated for your installation; it does not receive your name, email address or Apple ID. This data is used solely to unlock the features you have paid for (app functionality). It is not used for advertising or tracking. Appropriate safeguards apply to any processing outside the EU (EU standard contractual clauses).
